For the next 30+ days, I will be eating meat, vegetables, healthy fats, fruits and nuts. I will not be eating processed food, sugar, dairy, grains or legumes, and I won’t be consuming any alcohol.
This is not my first Whole30, but this time I want to focus on a couple of specific elements: 1) fewer nuts as snacks and 2) fewer snacks in general. I would like to find the right mix of meals and pre-/post-workout fuel to keep me steady throughout the day.
If you’re doing a Whole30 or other challenge, if you are living/exploring the Paleo lifestyle, or if you are simply looking for some tasty recipes to add to your repertoire, be sure to leave a comment to let me know you’re out there! I am so glad you stopped by!

This week’s focus: Drink lots of water or tea.
5:00 Black coffee
8:30 Collard greens, 2 eggs + yolk, salsa, 1/4 avocado
11:00 Post-workout/Lunch Beef hand rolls, pineapple
6:15 Spaghetti squash with meat sauce, salad
Food It seems like with each Whole30, the process gets easier. I haven’t had any cravings, my hunger is under control, I go long stretches feeling great. I love it. A post on hand rolls is coming soon – they are my new addiction!
Mood Fairly steady mood today. I’m a bit tired, very busy lately, but not feeling down or anything. I snapped at my son a couple times and felt a bit exasperated. I completely forgot that this is the phase of Kill All the Things in the Whole30. Hope it passes quickly!
Sleep 7.5 hours. I was still a little tired when I woke up but yesterday was a busy day and I probably could have used an extra hour of sleep.
Activity GREAT day at the gym! I lifted heavy, got in some suicides, so glad to have finally gotten in a tough one!
Focus More water needed today. I was out and about and, while I had my water with me, I wasn’t drinking it. I was kind of cold, maybe that was it.
I started Whole 30 on the 2nd. First round but looking forward to it!
Hi Cici – Congratulations! You might experience a couple difficult days but it is so worth it! Keep up the good work!
