I’m doing a Whole 30 for a couple of reasons: 1) I want to feel great from the inside out, 2) Putting some stricter guidelines around my food choices keeps me from getting distracted by things that might otherwise tempt me, and 3) Sometimes it takes a while to reap the benefits of a change and having a timeline provides the structure and encouragement I need when I begin to feel impatient.
I plan to share what I eat each day to help me accurately judge what my body needs and to, hopefully, provide a little inspiration or planning assistance if you’re trying to figure out your day as well. If you have questions about anything, please leave me a comment.
Everyone is different, so I hope you don’t judge me too harshly by what I eat. And maybe you’ll see something that resonates with you and, in that case, excellent! If not, I’ll be posting different recipes on the blog too, so don’t despair!
Here’s to the journey!
***************************************************************************************************************
5:00 Black coffee
8:00 1 c. zucchini soup, 3 eggs with Sunrise Spice
11:30 Red Curry Salmon and Egg on Crunchy Asian Slaw
2:15 Pear, 2 slices bacon
5:30 Grilled pork tenderloin, German Sweet Potato Salad, green beans
8:30 Apple and a handful of raw pecans
Food My nighttime snack was probably not a necessity. I was a little hungry, but it was amplified by family movie night. I think I made a pretty good choice, all things considered.
Mood I feel like working out, cooking up a storm, walking the dog, getting in some yoga, cooking some more, doing some cleaning, hanging out…just about anything on this gorgeous fall day! Need I say more?
Sleep 7.5 hours. When I woke up, I was looking forward to coffee, but I didn’t NEED coffee. Good stuff!
Exercise Great workout with friends this morning. I still needed to modify a few things, but I feel great for the day! I got in an afternoon yoga session today. It invigorates in a calm, centered way. Happy.
Just back from 4 day mini vacation with no I connection. Caught up with your blog … GREAT!!! Half through It’s the Food book … What a lot of new learning! Suggestion: each week post the shopping list for the previous week’s menus with links to the hard to find stuff. Maybe even ask readers to subscribe to the Shopping List service … Free of course 🙂
Welcome home and thanks for the idea! I am definitely a planner but would need to plan even more for that! I’ll be thinking on that one…
